The 2005 Home Run Derby used home run distances of 200 feet for men and 120 feet for women. Each hitter was allowed 8 outs (non-homers) in the first round and 4 outs in the second round. Men hitting 5 or more homers advanced to the second round. Women hitting 3 or more homers advanced.
Megan (Mangold) dominated the women's bracket with 13 homeruns. Walt (Scabs) took over the men's bracket in the second round, firing off 13 home runs in four outs for a total of 20 homeruns. Both Megan and Walt nearly doubled the number of home runs hit by the second place batters.
