JJ (Paychex/Blue) pitched a complete game for the Blue Division and was the winning pitcher. JJ gave up no walks and only 5 extra base hits, and batted 3 for 4. Johanna (Trinkles/Blue) took home the MVP award for the Blue Division by making some incredible fielding plays and batting 2 for 3 with a walk, including a clutch 2-out single in the last inning.
Interestingly, all 3 women for the Blue Division were able to draw a walk during the game. Nate (Scabs/Blue) batted 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a homer. Jon D. (Etc./Blue) batted 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. Others batting over .500 included Cory (LCAO/Blue) at 2 for 3 with a homer and Jon T. (Trinkles/Blue) at 3 for 5 with a double and triple. Walt (Scabs/Blue) also added a homer.
Kristi (Target/Red) was the starting pitcher for the Red Division, giving up 3 runs in 4 innings. Shawn (Mangold) pitched about 2 innings and was relieved by Bob (Rodale), who closed out the game.
Alicia (DSC/Red) batted 4 for 4 with a double, clearly leading the Red Division offense. Bob (Rodale/Red) was the only other Red Division player to hit above .500, batting 3 for 4 with a double. Kareem (Stahleys/Red) hit a grand slam. Ned (Target/Red) and Frank (Mangold/Red) were the only other players to get extra base hits, each with a double.
